Norton Personal Firewall and invisionfree.com

    Hope this is the right place...

    I've noticed since I installed Norton Firewall that explorer.exe keeps attempting to access invisionfree.com, at an IP address of 207.44.240.82.

    Here's an entry from the firewall log:

    This one time, the user has chosen to "permit" communications. Details:
    Outbound TCP connection
    Remote address,service is (invisionfree.com(207.44.240.82),54)
    Process name is "C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\IEXPLORE.EXE"

    I'm running Windows ME. I've no idea whats causing this, and until I do I'm blocking it. Can anyone shed any light on it?

    I've tried the website, and its a free board hosting site.

    It sounds like you may have some spyware or your Internet Explorer may have been hijacked.

    Download Ad-aware and Spybot and run both.

    That was the first thing I thought of, but I have both Ad-aware and spybot, and both say my machine is clean. I run them after every online session.

    Anyone else?

    i have norton FW and Anti-Virus and I get something simular

    I am way to lasy to bother looking at what it was :(
    I'll check next time it comes up and post
