Its a while alright. Eastman and Laird came up with the ideas in the mid 80's I think may have been even earlier

the new comic is aimed at the older teenager, its mainly for those of us who grew up with the turtles, there's supposed to be a new cartoon produced by MTV for the same generation based on the comice. it use the deeper shadowing and meaner turtle side for a better effect. it makes the turles finally look like they could (and want to) do some serious damage..... finally no more whingeing beebop and rocksteady or bitching leo.... or fall apart foot soldiers.... for the perfect example see if you can think back to the very first episode... of when it was still "nija turtle" remember when april is in the sewers about to be mugged? remember the awe inspiring effect of the 4 shadowwy figures ?? then cross that with a meaner side to the turtle in the movies and you have what the combined effort of the new comic and cartoon hope to go for

I haven't had a chance to read them yet, but i've seen the artwork and it looks fantastic. My mate is getting in a batch of them but the way we order them from america we get them about a month or 2 after they come out so i'll see them soon enough. I know there are a few new series coming out of old comics such as the transformers comics and the he-man series coming out again - all look excellent.

My favourite was always Michelangelo, but then as you can tell by iceman being my fav character in x-men, I always prefer the pranksters of the bunch :D

There are several Transformers comics - Armada, Generation one and one I can't rember. The first few issues of Armada were muck so I stopped getting them, but it may have improved by now. Gen one is real old skool transformers so I like it.

There is also a GI Joe/Transformers series by image that's not bad.

I haven't been reading the armada comics but i've been watching the show (mostly for lack of anything else to do on a sunday), and I didn't much like them even though they were better than the other recent series. However they've now taken a turn for the better as they're fighting unicron and more information about the minicons has come to light. Apparently the comic is going through the exact same story line as the series so this whole Unicron bit should be a good read.

Ack, the kids really put me off it. It's a plot device that I never liked even when I was a kid myself.

The old turtle memorabilia (if its nots coverd in tooth marks and baby drool ...god dam little teething brothers) are worth some money now, I was given the advice to put mine away and keep them for another ten years and they SHOULD be worth a little bit more.

Well i'm a huge collector of figures and statues, busts and other things. I have 3 of the turtles if I remember correctly, bebop and rocksteady, splinter, and shredder with half a leg missing :(

The half a leg is the only fault because I keep good care of my stuff, and I have all of the old weapons from each of the figures. I also have other things such as some old Star Wars figures (not 100% in good condition as I gave up when someone stole them all on me when I was a kid) I mainly have a few star wars original vehicles such as the millenium falcon and the at-at. I then started collecting things like the original ghost busters including vehicles, and then moved onto x-men marvel as soon as it came out.

I know spend most of my cash collecting Marvel Select and Marvel Legends, a good lot of lord of the rings until I get the full set, and the rest is split between single items of matrix statues etc, and a considerable collection i'm building up of Spawn statues - as many versions of spawn I can get.

But at the time I loved the turtles :D

You should call into other relams or somewhere like it, They have a really cool hulk/banner bust and some really cool xmen staues

Yeah i've been to forbidden planet in Belfast and the stuff they have there is amazing. Most of it isn't even for sale it's just for show in a glass cabinet. They have the entire Original X-Men character statues, the one where each base clips together to create a scene. They have 2000AD statues, Star Wars, DC, Marvel, Hellraiser - films and TV shows. They have busts of nearly every Marvel character bust that has come out. It's great!

Fair play to you for still having all the turtles weapons. I have Leonardo and Donatello but no weapons for them, and some little prick stole my Michelangelo figure. God, I was gutted.
As for Star Wars, I still have figures in their original packaging. :D

Really? I'll give you a tenner for the lot (starwars figures that is). I know that they're not worth anything these days *COUGH* but sure i'll be nice to you and give you a few € for them :D

Ugh... The new turtles comic looks awful. They look like fat, steroid-pumped morons. And Raphael has become retarded, for some unknown reason. People say it's 'darker', but the plot leaves a lot to be desired. So they've sold the turtles soul to turn it into some lame '**** **** up' comic.
