Hi. Can anyone advise ??How easy is it to beam a mini dish. I have aligned it more or less in the same direction as my neighbour who has perfect pics and all I get is no satellite signal received.

The stb is okay. checked on neighbours dish and LNB was swopped and that worked also . Should i be able to get it by tweaking it a few degrees.

I removed it from my holiday home and would like to set it up in my home in Limerick . Thanks.

The "bird" is 22,500 miles away and a 1 degree error fairly much loses the signal.

    Go to "hidden" Installer menu

    services 4 0 1 select

    Manual Tuning

Select the default and leave bars on screen.

Move VERY slowly East/West wiggle up/Down a little too slowly till bar appears. 30seconds at each posistion is needed.

If you get Astra 19E then the box needs powered off /on at mains plug as it will "hang"

If you get a bar but still no programs repower and see. If still a bar but no programs it seeing wrong satellite (Approx every 3 degrees has a Satellite, but digibox only can "see" some of them!)

you could try it to get the dish aligned - this will give you near enough the correct vertical angle and a good starting point for left / right ......
