New look RTE One & RTE News

Has anyone noticed the new blue & white colour scheme of RTE News today?

On the One O'Clock news today there was a completly different looking studio with brand new music, graphics & astons.

Also the weather forecast has changed it's look a bit.

I think it all looks really good.

Shockingly I think RTE 1 have had thier news progs right for many years now (I just wish they would'nt go into "tickover" mode at every bank holliday/summer break).

I didn't get to see that but I just copped during the ad break that they've seemed to have changed all the RTE One logo's & idents aswell.

It all looks a lot better.

Yeah RTE One is looking nice.

TV3 got a make over too And I will admit it looks good too.

However Did TV3 and RTE get the same person to design there new looks?

Look forward to seeing the new news 2, are they getting rid of the name.

TV3 have had a make over too although that 3 is still in the bottom right corner. it looks better than what it was

You dont like their DOG.

Definately think the people who designed the two new looks were the same person. People running around the place etc.

I dont like dogs on the screen at all, especially those big ones like paramount comedy, discovery etc.

Just seen the new look for the first time...horrid next time they should employ a team of sighted designers.

Whats with that annoying green graphic down the left edge of the screen? Whats with the mahogeny look desk - more suited to an American car dashboard. The RTE NEWS logo is cheap and annoying...what else pissed me off...oh yes the naff use of scrolling letters and numbers in the intro sequence "why it looks so 21st Century"....NOT.

Apart from that I like it!

I like the graphics.

The set well a mix between BBC NI (Which I don't like) and NewsNight (which I do like).

Like the music.

At least the got rid of their DOG.

I perfered the TG4 DOG when it was bigger, you can barely see it now.

The ID DOG should go.

They should come up with a softer DOG for their Rating system MA etc.

I spoke to soon.

Its not as bad as the stupid gray box with rte news in it.
