I've done ITF Style and I dis agree that the sparring is any less intense.Fought both stylists and found it strange not to punch someone in the head who has no guard up!Different clubs have different standards, find an instructor who enjoys seeing his members mix it up I guess!

I know it's strange.. your opponents guarding block is different in WTF than ITF so you are inclined to punch them in the head more.. ESPECIALLY if you do both styles a lot hehe
And imo the free sparring in WTF is more extreme because generally people who do WTF are better at free sparring because that's the main focus of their style.. people who do ITF have to focus on patterns/breaking/1-step/2-step/etc aswell as free sparring
