    BUSH BABY FOR IRAQIS

    An Iraqi couple have named their baby George Bush in gratitude to the American president following the war on Iraq.

    Nadia Jergis Mohammed and Abdul Kader Faris said they were giving their six-week-old son the title as a thankyou to Mr Bush for "liberating" America.

    And if the couple had had twins, they wanted to the name the other brother Tony Blair.

    The full name of the baby is George Bush Abdul Kader Faris Abed El-Hussein.

    Mum Mohammed, who lives in Baghdad, told Associated Press: "He saved us from Saddam and that's why we named our son after him.

    "It was George Bush who liberated us; without him it wouldn't have happened."

    Baby Bush has two older brothers, with the more traditional names Omar and Ali.

    It is not known whether the naming will create a new trend in Iraq, where many babies used to be called Saddam.

    The odds on this kid reverting to one of his middle names are very short to say the least.

    The teachers may have no interest in protecting him from the bullies.
