Well it depends how much you plan to use it...

If the answer is just for surfing and the odd small download (and you dont mind changing your cps) then UTV is the cheapest. Pings i've heard are **** tho(ie no gaming). Iol then Eircom are next in line for cheapness/cap with Eircom slighyl ahead in ping times but similar download speeds. Netsource is uncapped but pings and download speeds sufferat peak times. Its also the most expensive of the residential offerings at approx. €65.

If your a gamer with a lust for heavy downloads then Esat BT Business (limited areas) is what you want. It isn't cheap howver at €110 a month. This however is with better download speeds than the residential products, business service and fantastic ping times not to mention uncapped. The choice is yours, any other questions feel free to ask :D

  • I've heard that nTL are quite cheap and i'm pretty sure their 600 rate or something is availble in my area. Any Ideas?

All i really want it for is to have a faster connection. 45kbps with eircom is a nightmare. I want to upload quite a lot of info to internet aswell and need faster connection. Don't play innternet games so ping don't matter. Thanks for the help

  • Forgot to add that i'm looking to pay anything from €30 - €50

I think you have been watching too many porno movies.

Anyway, NTL is available in an extremely limited area within Dublin 6 so the chances are you can't get it (make sure you check anyway though!). I'd probably say Eircom is second best although it does have a cap of 6GB I think it is. That means, if you download over 6 Gigabytes in one month, they charge you per megabyte you go over.

my cousin has it, and he has had no problems, rarely gets below 400kbps, if ever. also his pings are the bomb. i know they are a bit slow getting it installed, but once its in i thought it was great.

Anyway, IBB have just dropped the prices on their 512/512 product.. its now EUR30 a month.

    **thanks god he's with IBB**
