That's a shame - last time they were over they were really good. I hadn't got any tickets anyway! I'm sure there's a good reason for cancelling - like the're busy wrestling bears or something weird.

Ah no, that sucks. Does this apply to the whole tour, or just the Irish dates? Hopefully they will be reschedueled, I was looking foward to this one...

Think it's due to their tour being extended in the U.S. They seem to be taking off back in their homeland, have heard the new single on daytime radio here as well.

    Grandaddy finally break their silence...

    Beardy One's Speak
Now for the bad news. Due to some personal stuff that has come up at home, we've been forced to cancel the two Irish shows which were scheduled for the beginning of November. On behalf of the band I'd like to extend our sincerest apologies to those who were looking forward to the dates, or even worse, already had tickets. We don't take it lightly, the cancellations, and it's doubly difficult because we dig playing in Ireland so much. I'm not kidding. It's always been a real pleasure, performance wise, and socially. We will get back there as soon as we can. Again, we're very sorry.

Arse. Very tempted to go over to London for their Brixton show in December.

Well Ryanair will get you to London for about €35 for the Brixton gig (10 Dec)...this I know because I will be in London the day before for Jetplane Landing's last gig of 60, and am even more tempted to stay the extra day.

Very refreshing to see a band aplogise for their cancelled dates. I'm sure they'll make it over here in 2004 sometime.

Forget 2004, they finish in London the 10th of December. The 11th and 12th for Dublin and Belfast it is then...;)

I was thinking about then aswell, as they return to the UK in December, but MCD are usually pretty wary about renewing a cancelled gig that recent. If it was postponed, December would be solid, but cancelled doesn't look too good. Hopefully MCD will renew the damn concert before the year is out.

Jeez, compared to last year, December is looking like a great concert month... crap, I have no money.

T'is October for me...five gigs in five nights, including trips to Cork and Limerick...and thats not including two possible nights in Belfast and Derry, making it 7 in 7 days.

    Hardcore as bejaysus me.:D
