woohoo, rejoice. the blizzard of odd returns to net2 on october 1st.

This season the show gets a brand new set, Colin gets a brand new suit and as well as the show's established TV and Film review slots there are some new strands - including 'As Not Seen on TV' (clips from try-out shows that never did make it to air) and 'The Blizzard Top 5's'.

    :D

I though x it poll/file was totally underrated

    Portadown live was gas

And I though your ones skit on Usursal Hannigan was very fun.

blizzard of odd was great, when I saw him hosting that x-it poll thing I said to myself, that's him gone then. I couldn't quite put my finger on what was wrong with x-it poll, was it disjointed, were the writers totally crap? It was a good idea that went horribly wrong IMO. Anyway good to see Blizzard is back, hope they dont change it.

I liked the Blizzard of Odd but then X-it File put me right off Colin Murphy.

Early this year though I went along to see a friend who was doing a gig in the Comedy Club in Galway and Colin Murphy was the top billed act on the night. I wasn't expecting much but he was brilliant - very sharp. Nice improvised material on the night and some well thought out routines too. Cracked me up.

I thought this program was actually fairly good, atleast there something extra to watch on tv now.

TARA TV is no more. RTE got rid because of a dispute between them and a Scandinavian? TV company that owned part of TARA TV. OH and it was costing them too much.

The whole concept of x-it file was basically flawed. They were trying to take the p*** out of irish politicians, but how is that possible when they do such an amazing job of it themselves

X-It File was pure shite especially when they started to use (really bad) canned laughter.

X-It Poll was alright because they didn't have time to feck around with canned laughter and actually used an audience (that didn't laugh at the jokes that died), and because they hadn't run out of ideas at that stage.

There should be a government ban on RTE using canned laughter....

They had an audience on X-it poll.

Problem with both shows was that the audience was too far way from the presenter
