Just wondering has anyone else noticed that certain channels pictures have become very blocky and grainy. The one I notice it on the most is Hallmark. Is this a sign of thinks to come re picture quality.

I haven't noticed this on Hallmark, and I'm a Law and Order fan, so I watch it most weeknights. However, I thought the picture quality of Deep Space Nine on Sky One Mix was very poor last night.

Also, I have a very poor reception on Live TV and POP/Video Vault, where the picture and sound constantly freezes. However, since I never watch these channels, and everything else seems fine, I can't describe myself as overly bothered about it.

I have noticed the same problem on the same channels. Is this related to the compression of the video and if so why is it variable.

I thought a broadcaster "payed" for the bandwidth and so if they are running on the cheap then it would always be poor quality - Hallmark (for Law and Order) seesm to be good some nights.

Yes I've noticed the same thing with Law and Order. But ITV and the BBC are very blocky at times the Bill last night was awful. Is this due to them having so many channels on the one transponder? Skys own channels seem fine.

I've noticed this problem myself but as it is only on a few channels, it's not too important ( it is very noticable if the camera pans quickly)
