how expensive is ayia napa?

heading off to ayia napa in four weeks and was just wondering if it is expensive? dont think ill be able to bring too much monies so if anyone could give me some rough price comparisons it would be great, and how much i would need for a week. cheers

Hi,
Was there last year. Beer and drink is about the same as here (mainly bottles). Restaurants are slightly cheaper, wine included. Taxi's average but be careful to agree price.

hehe ayia napa is just as expensive as ireland so be prepared to bring as much as you would spend on a night out at home for as many nights as you are going to ayia napa & money for food and drinks during the day.

trust me you will love ayia napa, tis ****ing fab be sure to go to the water park there too - deadly!!

Supposed to be going there next year, a mate is getting married in cyprus and then going to spend a few weeks in Ayia Napa..

Ive heard mixed things about that place as far as night life, acommodation prices etc, so all info would be appreciated...

Book flights and hotel seperately through the Net. I got a 4-star hotel by booking directly for the same price a package deal to a crappy apartment would have cost. The same hotel was e500 dearer on the package deal

as the rest of the lads say it is about the same as here but if you move around you will see different prices
for example last year i was paying €4 for a standard bottle but in other places i was paying €4 for a smaller bottle but if you look around you will get beer for €3 but this was last years prices
the main clubs that we went to were the car wash, The Castle, Starsky and Hutch and Freedom Reggae for late night drinks
the shorts in these places were horrible and expensive
Senior Frog done great cocktails and for a slice of home with a good cheap pint try out Luke Kellys

hehe dont forget to visit shagwells, can pick up free passes in off the reps. we went there most nights, mini-me (not the real one) dances on stage each night and its heaven when they turn on the sprinklers at the end of the night.

river reggae rocks too, we were staying in that hotel where it is so that was our pool during the day, spent most days there or on the beach stoned.

ps dont forget to do that big bungee elastic ball thing in napa, worth it just to see the video of ur face after hehe.
