Hi,

I got a call about 2 weeks ago from NTL saying that they had expanded their service and that I now had access, plus they were running a 'subscribe now for 20 euro' package.

I'd be very interested in taking the service, but the last time I thought I could get access it turned out that the person selling me the connection didn't know where the coverage ended and I took a morning off to have an engineer call and tell me I was outside the coverage area...

So, does anyone know if NTL have indeed extended their coverage on the south side, specifically Ballinteer (on the Woodpark side), and are they running an offer?

I know that they have been extending the service in Lucan recently. An NTL rep called to my door about 6 weeks ago. The monthly rate for 600K was €40. Although, they were running a special €20 a month until next year in the original areas covered i.e. Tallaght. See http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=101677

No worries. Let us know how you get on. I am sure there are many people here that would like to know if NTL are extending the service outside Lucan at the moment.

For anyone interested, I've had confirmation that no, NTL have not upgraded for Broadband as far as Woodpark in Ballinteer.

Ah well.

I heard from someone that NTL are going to introduce cable in Galway soon, can someone confirm this? I might give them a ring tomorrow.
