I have been all over www.adsl.ie and cannot find any comparison chart. They make very little reference any where to the speeds.

All I can find in the FAQ,
What speeds are available with eircom i-stream?
We are offering a range of four products depending on the numbers of users, the network environment and the bandwidth requirements. There are two bandwidths available.

    512Kbps downstream with 128Kbps upstream*
1 Mbps downstream with 256Kbps upstream
*with eircom i-stream starter speeds may be reduced by usage during peak times, line quality and exchange distance.

Does any one know if there is a page on Eircom that gives the exact download/upload speeds of their packages?

    thx.

Because of their anal session stuff I can't post the direct link, so...
    • "Our business site" from menu on left
    • "Find out more >>" from the first section on that page "Revolutionise the way you do business with eircom i-stream !" (lol)
    • "eircom i-stream solutions" just under the blue paragraph about the €1.50 a day.

Of course they mention no where on the page what the single * means .. but its basically that you're only guranteed 256Kb/sec downstream but it can be up to 512Kb/sec depending on the line quality. I'm not sure what happens with upstream.

    the 48:1 contention ratio

the speeds listed are what you get if non of the other 47 subscribers are using it at the same time etc....
