Hello ppl I was wondering if it is possible to receive the BBC digital channels here in Ireland. I am more interested in BBC24 news cause right now all I can get in that line is Crap news - I mean Sky news! Is there a way to get these extra channels?.

I have, in case any of you were wondering, tuned around no sign off them do u afto get some sort of a box?.

    Ta in advance:)

You can only get them on SKY in the UK. We don't have them here.
ITV and Channel 4 aren't part of the SKY package in ROI either.

Not true all BBC channels can now be recieved in ROI you need to manualy tune them but there all there alright, you'll need a digibox and dish. Try and hunt one down second hand if you dont like SKY much (who does?)

you don't need a Sky box to view the channels. any FTA digital receiver will do the job. a digibox is only needed for the interactive stuff

    Are you sure?
I tried the "search for new channels" feature and it only found Chelsea TV, Artsworld and ITV.

You're searching on the default transponder. You need to change the details before clicking "Find Channels" (using the info linked to above or here).
