I have a machine with both XP and 2k on and I want to remove the option, when the computer starts up, of choosing between the operationg systems.

    Any thoughts?

In xp go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery -> Settings

    Or in 2K, run CMD

    Then type edit boot.ini

    Careful! :)

    or,
Right-click My Computer, Properties. Go to advanced and then Startup & recovery settings. You can just untick
    "time to Display operating systems"
or edit the boot.ini file from there as Praetorian said.
