    Try Netmeter http://readerror.gmxhome.de/
Its nearly the same but only gives the totals for that session.

NetMeter is fairly good when it comes down to it, ok not as many features as DUMeter but considering its free...

    http://jitserv.coolfreepage.com/index2.htm

    And there are some more

i HATE netstat live, i tried it, but it was completely useless. It forgot how much i had already downloaded on a regualr basis, meaning i had no idea how much i had really downloaded. thankfully i;m on uncapped, so it didn;t really matter. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. (i'm on WinX Pro)

without trying to say anything that could be pointed back at me as illegal,[link removed] your DUMeter trial will never run out.

no posting of links like that please

lol, what do you mean illegal? the website you just linked from this board will get you cracks for software without paying for them. and thats illegal imo :)

anyway, most of these bandwidth meters might lie to you especially if you have a home network in your home. since it tracks tcp/ip packets incoming/outgoing from your computer it is likely they are going to pick up traffic between computers on the network.

Except if it allows you to specify what peripheral to monitor like Du meter does.

yeah, as someone here on boards told me (i forget who, sorry!) select PPP adapter as the device to monitor in DUMeter, and it will be very accurate, its keeping incredibly close to esats stats!

Im using Bandwidth Monitor (www.lp23.com) and as far as i can tell so far its only been logging my internet bandwidth usage. It keeps track of what you used in a session, a day and a month. You can specify when you want it to reset as well as your cap and tell it to warn ya when your getting close. Handy little program

Hello, I'm the guy who makes the Bandwidth Monitor program and just wanted to say thanks for mentioning my program :) Also, if you do have a network, and transfer files between them, it will most likely pick up the transfer (sometimes windows excludes it). The pay version of BM - BMExtreme has a feature that excludes whatever IP's you give, and this ignores the network traffic real well. Just wanted to mention that  For those who don't like my program you can always email and I'll try to fix the problem, otherwise the program I would probably recommend (other than mine) from those above is the Down2Home one.

go to www.webattack.com this is good(IMO better than download.com) website with categories, you'll find lots of good apps there, including free bandwidth meters, but i'm not sure you'll like them
