Anyone else having problems with the o2 MMS/GPRS network?

I got a new phone on Holiday. Although i had no network on holiday [gulf] my phone [T310] gives a symbol on the diaply to tell you that there is GPRS signal/network presant.

Back home in Dublin now and I dont get that icon. I cant access WAP/GPRS either. I was able to access the wap o my old phone [Seimens M35i] so i should have WAP on my account. I also had to o2 MMS [Prepay] settings sent to my phone but that does nothing.

Does anyone else have the o2 Prepay MMS working? Or do i have to call them up and get them to switch it on or something?

Did you get the settings from O2.ie or did you ring up?

The settings on the site are wrong. You have to ring up, get them to enable GPRS/MMS on your account and send you the settings.

    hi Winters,

you need to get O2 to enable (provision) GPRS for your account on the Network side

if you give them a call on 1740 to get them to set it up for you

the M35i didnt' have GPRS just dial-up wap - so you could configure that on the T310 if you wanted too - but for GPRS you need to make sure you are set up on the Network for that service

i have Prepay MMS on O2 working fine - just took a phone call to them and they set me up on the various access points for WAP, MMS and ISP

p.s. just took a look at their site and the T310 doesn't appear to be offerd by them as a handset so they may say it's unsupported - but they usually try and help you out to get it working

if not then an alternative strategy is to say you have a T300 or T68i and get them to provision the services and then try the SonyEricsson support site to send out the configurations or ask back in here to if you are still having trouble

O2 prepay uses seperate access points like pp.wap.o2.ie and pp.internet to the post-pay access points
