couldnt be arsed writing a new review.. so heres mine posted from elsewhere:

Well goddamn was it good, while my knowledge of them is pretty much limited to Mad For Sadness and several singles, I thoroughly enjoyed the gig anyway, highlight easily being a stunningly intense run of New Birds, Malcom being helped in the band duties by a violinist, cellist, bass, drums and the odd trumpet here and there .. basically all leading to a wonderful climax wall of sound.

The odd tracks I'm familiar with off their new album came across very very well, Flirt, Shy Retirer (the current single) and ****ing Little Bastards being the more uptempo of those.

As a bonus at the end of their usual set and running a bit ahead of schedule, Adian & Malcolm performed 3 acoustic numbers, first I can't recall, Kate Moss and finally My Favourite Muse, which prompted a crowd sing/shout-along for the opening line.. "it was the biggest cock you'd ever seen"... ****ing excellent gig, and picked up the new live cd from this tour afterwards (which I'm told will only be available at the gigs).. screw The Darkness, this was much better
