Myself and my brother used to collect these when we were younger. I remember that I used to always get the "baddies" whilst my brother always got the "goodies". Needless to say we were mortified one Christmas when Santa Claus forgot this important distinction, giving me Prince Adam, whilst my brother got Lock Jaw. We quickly agreed that Santa is entitled to a mistake or two after travelling around the world in one night...so we swapped :) I wonder what my parents were thinking!

For years I have been searching on the net and can never find any of the comic stories online. Remember that each character used to come with a little book with a comic story. Class!

I used to have Skeletor, Hordack, Beast-Man, Lock-Jaw, the big blue evil cat...plus that red alien fellow whom had two heads and you could stick his arms/legs, etc ogether in any way that took you fancy(you could see that Marvel were feeling the heat from Lego..so were trying to include some "kind of build it yourself-ness"!).

    My bro had Man-at-Arms, He-Man, Prince-Adam, Stratos, Cringer(the good cat), He-mans green drag-racer, SnakeMan..

Anyone still have them? Any ideas where I could find some online versions of the comics?

We used to have some battles :)

Lockjaw!? Surely you mean Trap Jaw?

    "He-mans green drag-racer" = Road Ripper

    "Red alien fella" = Modulok

And I remember those little comics well. Earliest one I can remember was in French (think I got it with Mer-Man) with loads of text underneath the images (no speech-*******).

haha, nice one :) Excuse my forgetfulness, it was 15 years or so ago. The memories come flooding back!

Remember that Hordack's lair place...green gunge used to come out of the trap...I always wanted it...never got it...it must have been a fairly messy and expensive affair to have to keep buying that gung.

    Wasn't Hordack one of the She-Ra baddies?

*racks brains trying to think of the name of it*

A friend of mine in national school had it, I think. I'm pretty sure it's not the Fright Zone - there was a three-fingered claw keeping the victim in place, and a giant lizard skull holding the gunk, right? Damnity damn damn damn...can't think of the name of it...

Here's a link to a biiig desktop image of Trap Jaw - Treat!!

Great toys. For someone who had been obsessed with Star Wars toys up til then the He-man stuff really was a step up in terms of just impressive looking figures.

Hordak was indeed the bad guy on the She-ra show but he was sold as an MOTU figure along with the other male Horde characters.

I think they rightly figured that girls weren't going to want to buy Horde figures (which usually looked like monsters and robots) and that boys would have no interest in buying the hero characters from She-Ra.

(yeah I know I'm replying to a comment from nine years ago but whatever!

Try and catch some episodes of "Robot Chicken" where they often have skits using replica models of the He-Man toys. It'll bring back more memories.

For those of you who have the cash and the inclination, the toy line is under a revival through mattycollector, at the moment.

Personally, never much liked the toys or the cartoon.
