DMC Qualifiers friday the 29th?

    For those of you who dont know, the DMC championships are around since the early 80's. Its a hiphop turntable battle consisting of scratching, mixing and beatjuggling and its on friday the 29th in the redbox!

    Has anyone been to one before? This ones gonna be great!

    Irish Technics DMC Championships 2003

    The Irish Heats of the Technics World DMC Championships 2003 will be held in The Redbox, Harcourt st., Dublin 2 on the Friday 29th August. The Technics DMC Championships is the worlds longest running and most respected DJ competition. It has been running since 1986 and has produced many a great DJ eg. Mix Master Mike, Qbert, Scratch Perverts, Jazzy Jeff, Cash Money, Craze, Noize etc. It is in essence the Olympics of Djing and the 9th of August will decide who the best DJ in Ireland is…

    The Eliminators for the event will take place in The Redbox from2 -6pm on the afternoon of the 29th with the Final starting at 8 pm approximately, followed by a Choice Cuts after-party so look forward to a great night

    The eliminators consist of 3 minute heats, with the best 12 qualifying for the Irish Finals later that evening. The 12 Finalists must have 6 minutes prepared in which to battle for the coveted prize of Ireland’s best DJ. The winner will be flown to London to compete in the World Technics DMC Championships on September 13th/14th.

    Admission to The Eliminators will be 6 euro and to the Final 15 euro. The Finals will be followed with a Choice Cuts after- party, so expect another great night out courtesy of Choice Cuts
