    anyone know any letting agencies in town that cater for cheap student
    accomodation, below €500 p/m, i know theres one on aungier street but
    its very expensive

    My previous experience with fee-paying services is less than good. Quite a few don't charge at all.

    I know several colleges have had campaigns to get student accommodation set up in time for term, so check out college accommodation offices.

    A single room in any house will usually cost well below e500/month. Try the Herald or daft.ie.
