Copying Data

    Hi folks,

Whats the easiest way of copying data from a Nokia 6610 to a Sony Ericsson t610?

I found this little program (http://eflame.com/fma/) which is OK, but not great.

Sony's own software requires that Outlook is installed, so I can't use that.

Any suggestions? I have over 70 contacts on my Nokia, so I can't enter them manually.......

    - Dave.

Use the 6610 to copy all the numbers to your sim card. Then copy from the sim to the T610. Works for contacts just however.

For me I synchronised my old 8310 with outlook, then did another sync from outlook to my t610. it worked great, transferred multiple numbers per contact including email addresses, and appointments and tasks and stuff.

    Right, i have a bit of a problem transferring from a 6230i to a Sony K800i, here's what happens:
Most of the numbers i had stored on my Nokia were stored under the field name "General" instead of "Mobile" or "Home". So that when you transfer all the contacts to Outlook 2003, it saves the numbers for these particular contacts with a "General" number under the field name "Other Phone".

Now Outlook's main field names are "Home", "Mobile", "Business" and "Business Fax". Any numbers stored under these field names get transferred to the K800i, no problems...
The contacts with numbers stored under "Other Phone" in Outlook or "General" on the Nokia phone dont seem to get transferred to the Sony! What a pain in the ass!

So, it seems i either have to copy all the numbers individually from the "Other Phone" field to the "Mobile" field in order for them to transfer to the Sony.

Is there a way to batch convert all these numbers from the "Other Phone" field to the "Mobile" field ?? If i manage to do this, im sure that all the numbers will transfer and the Sony will recognise them, Cheers...
