Ive just got my hands on Colin Mcrea 3 for the PC and ive only raced the first few stages but it does not seem any different to CmCR 2 for the PC. I played CmCr 3 on my brothers PS2 a few months ago and thought the same thing, but i had hoped for more from the PC version. Perhaps when i play it some more i`ll notice more differences with it but so far it seems the same.

Has any one else tried it?

    played the PC demo myself.

Car handling is much different than in CMR2 imo. Supposed to be more realistic but with me not driving, I wouldn't know :)

still think it's worth buying tho.

    same as myself spooky :)

obviously the cars look better in CM3 and the damage is really classic, specially watching a wheel come off and bounce down the road.
makes for fun 3 wheeled driving!

Yeah I'm wondering about that aswell.
I picked up CMR2 on the cheap a few months ago, now CMR3 is calling to me every time I go into HMV... I don't want to risk buying it if it's too similar to CMR2 though.
Maybe they've been cheeky and just updated some driver names and prettied up the visuals.
I can't imagine it'd be so different as to justify shelling out full whack for a v2 => v3 upgrade?

I remember reading a review on gamesdomain and they said that it was just a souped up version of 2, with slightly improved handling and graphics, but that's all.

They didn't give it a good score at all, and said that if you have 2 not to bother with 3.

Anyway, I wish they'd brought out Rally Championship 2 or something. This game was amazing - driving a stage that was 15 minutes long! It was like the real thing heh. Only problem was that you couldn't really slide into the corners, but the intensity of this game was amazing. None of the three and a half minute stage crap.

    Si.
