    When I read a new Thread, or a thread with new postings, why, when I come out of that thread having read all the postings, is there an grey down-arrow beside that thread?

    Then it's probably because the arrow is based on the lastvisit variable which doesn't change throughout the lifetime of your session.

    Cheers. But is that my session on the actual forum or my login session? And why does the new posts icon change and not this?
