IE5 seems to have trouble reading FTP sites but has no problem at all downloading from FTP sites. So basically dont try browsing FTP sites with IE5 till they get a fix for this. This was a problem in the beta stages of IE5 and I'm suprised that they havent fixed it !

When you connect to an FTP site, IE5 connects to MSN and asks it "Is this site part of the M$ collective"... if the answer is no, it messes up. Wouldn't be surprised if the error message was blaming the FTP site (they have already been trouble for doing that).
