Available in ATR in centrepoint portlaoise.

Fully Featured DVD player (MP3-CD, KODAK-PICTURE CD ETC)

    5.1 Surround speakers and subwoofer.

All for 199 euro, sounds good to me.

Unfortunately, its not a big brand name.

Its a Yamada (based somewhere in asia).

It looks quite good to me, and the picture quality on the DVD is as good as any other Ive seen.

Yeah, they came in under Umax (oops..)

I was reading the book and it said they only played region 2 dvd's

But for 199 you cant go wrong!

    Speaking of multi-region umax/yamada...

May order one myself at the prices Amazon are selling them for (my PC-DVD drive has recently decided it'll only play some discs & watching them on the laptop instead of the TV is doing my nut in (plus my laptop DVD drive is a 3rd generation region locked drive (quite annoying). Reviews are rather good. They're selling a Daewoo and Toshiba (also with good reviews at great prices) for a bit more but the second one above looks quite nice for the price.

Actually I'll probably buy one of the two, just can't decide which.

The DVX-6100 (90 quid on Amazon) plays DivX;-) files as well.
