Does anyone here know anything about owning a small motorboat?

Is any sort of licence required? Is any type of annual tax required?

What permission (and from whom) is required to use on public rivers/loughs?

    Anyone know?

i fish on lough ree and the shannon
you dont need a licsence or have to pay tax
you dont need permission to run a boat on these waters

    good luck and safe boating

    thanks for this demanufactured.

Is there any sort of boating equivelant to a driving licence ? You don't have to pass some test in order to legally use a motor boat?

Or is any sort of insurance required?
