I remember watching some of this movie years ago. From what I can recall of it, I thought it was pretty good. Was it really? All my friends say it was crap but for some reason I’ll probably end up buying it. Is it actually worth it?

I hated it. Badly acted and they destroyed what should have been a really simple conversion of a great scifi short story. I mean it's got the kind of mistakes and cliches that anyone with half a brain would have to actually work at putting in there, it's not like the original story was rocket science.
But to each their own....

Ruined a great scifi story. Gibson sold out and they ruined this story and took bits form his other stories and stuck em into this.

His female bodyguard was a wimp which was so wrong. Molly kicked major ass in the book.

Molly was the biz in the story and even more so in Neuromancer and they totaly trashed the main core and meaning to the story.

I saw it a few years ago and remembered liking it but I saw it recently and it was crap, one of the worst films I've ever seen.
