sky are offering reduced subs here now if you reconnect. offer isnt as good as uk one (suprise, suprise) as its half-price sub for 3 months. might take them up on it.

interesting thing is that you can take up the "technical service" offer instead which states if your digibox has been damaged beyond repair since you stopped subscribing, sky will replace it.

anyone else had similar offers?

The offer is as below:

Sky world + Family pack__Was €60 now €30
Sky Movie + Family pack__Was €52 now €26
Sky Sport + Family pack__Was €49 now €24.50
Sky Family pack________Was €27 now €13.49
Sky "Value" pack_______Was €19 now €9.50

The package yo choose at the start you have to keep for the run of the offer. i.e. you can switch from Value pack to Family pack.
If you do you have to pay the full cost.

Technical Service Offers:

Free service call: Sky kit checked out and Digibox repair if needed.
Free std. Reinstall: If you took your dish down they will stick it back up.
Free dish: New dish to be installed with you digibox.

Very interesting. Especially now as most people around my way and it seems the - bush telegraph - has been in overdrive in Donegal, are cancelling their Sky subs in favour of all the lovely EPG FTA channels that can be received free i.e. no more Sky monthly subs?..

I got a letter also but I've not cancelled my sub, well at least I don't think I have! Has anyone else received a letter and are still subscribing?

I've been on a varient of this kiss and make up offer.....

I tried cancelling as the premiership came to an end (last season) and they offered my sky world at 52% discount. So it was happy days for me!

Cheap and cheerful sky is what people want.

50% discount for 6 months wasnt enough to tempt me back, they treat Irish subscribers poorly.
