Installed Mandrake 9.1 and having a few problems.

Firstly I can't see an option to log in as root.
Just my main username appears on the login screen.
And I don't wanna do everything in a terminal window so "su" dosn't do what I want.

Secondily, When trying to use the "make" command in the terminal window I get errors

    Any help would be great.

    Ste.

The root login is super sekrit so it doesn't show up as a button on the login screen. Just type "root" as the username anyway. I'm sure you already know this but be careful when using root. Also Mandrake has a Contol Centre that you can use when loged in as a normal user, it will ask you for the root password.

    Never run X as root.

    You have been warned.
