    "Kurt's theory of fat birds:

The fatter they are, the more they love me."

    Classic.

Fucck that they were pretty much the central characters is it any good without them? and have they got new people to replace them.

They've got Brian and Kurt (tall PE guy, and short computer teacher), the black secretary, the principle and her mutant assistant, the head of the English department (old geezer), and the new blonde, Penny, from last series who flirts with everybody.

Two new characters, one fat bird who's fond of her pints and curries, and one "sophisticated" bloke who's been boffing Penny for a while, even though he's married.

Egg is to return I'm told.

And see how much attention I pay to their names????

Is this the series they showed on Mondays on E4 a while back (I thought they showed 2 but memory may well be faulty again) or a completely new one?

Digiguide listings for the series are pretty scant & I can't tell

Completely new. Series 3. I think the GuyWhoIsBoffingPenny has been in it before, albeit a small role...

I seen it on C4 last night, never rally watched the program before but laughed my socks off at it. The whole fat bird thing was great.
    that little guy is brillant.

Buh!... Those were the central characters! I was looking forward to seeing the new series but that just ruins it for me :/

For anyone that misses the Wednesday episode on Channel 4, it's repeated on E4 on Fridays.

I heard a rumour that Simon (the main character from series 1 & 2) will be back later in this series, but I don't know how definite that is.

    Thanks!

Another annoying question for y'all then.

Is TV3 ahead or behind C4/E4?

TV3 are behind, they're only showing series 2 at the moment

Jenny and Susan are missed badly their void hasn't been filled thought the opener of season 3 was disappointing.:(

Its kinda odd that the main character is gone. Not quite as good as it was but entertaining viewing nonetheless

What did everyone make of the second episode? I still think it's doing surprising well and Simon's absence wasn't as noticable.
I also loved them tearing Penny's character to shreds - she's had it coming ever since she appeared on screen!

The questions to piss yer one off were very funny, and I liked the teacher sitting quietly in Brian's group :)

What made me like it all the more was the stuff on in the background when the characters would be talking: a woman making cake mix, two kids having a sword fight, the donkey in the canteen...

    Good stuff. Hope it continues.

my personal opinion is that the series is better without the 2 characters that have left. i tried watching teachers many times before but never liked it til this series.
    simon was a pratt imho

One moment of pure genius in tonight's episode - as all the parents are bringing their kids into the school for the parent/teacher evening, the donkey that's always in the background is being led in by two other donkeys. Even tops the teacher being carted away from the staffroom last week.

    i love this show.....
i really don't think they need simon back at all, it's doing great without him. but i can see the story around Brian and Kurt getting very over done. they need to foucs the show on someone new.. maybe the head-mistress or something for an episode

I say keep the 3 characters that just disappeared out of it. They were boring, especially Simon, he was just a big block of seriousness in a funny show. Loving the new series, Brian and Kurt make me want to be a teacher myself, but then I remember that I hate kids and change my mind

I watched an old episode on TV3 and at the same time watched a new episode on E4. How? Add breaks, thats how.

Great show like the new characters.

Takes a bit of practice does that
(there's always E4+1 if you're not really pressed for time)

I dunno about everyone else, but I quite enjoyed tonight's episode. Sharper than usual and a bit of a lesson to it. Plus very disturbing at the same time....

    Bob has a big cock.....

An equally valid question is how can Bob shag Liz? She's scary.

Maybe Bob likes scary chicks who tell him he's been naughty.

Or maybe he'll just take it where he gets it. Of course after the Kurt debacle the same could be said of Liz.
