    Bream 11 12 1882 River Blackwater (Monaghan)
    Dace 1 2 8.8.1966 River Blackwater, Cappoquin
    Roach 2 13.5 11.8.1970 River Blackwater, Cappoquin

Em, seriously, in that river there? I know there were some pike in it but i didn't realise there was much else .. apart from plenty of trout which I fished for for a few years. Wus everything killed off at some stage and then the river restocked with trout only? Anyone from the Monaghan Anglers Assoc. reading that can comment?

I didn't even know there were any Dace in Ireland.

Ah perhaps theres a Cappoquin area that the muster blackwater flows thru as well, would make more sense :)

The Barrow in Carlow town is stuffed with Dace ( some rather Large ) at the minute, get them on Waggler or Stick float.
