    Hi,
I'm having a real problem and am sceduled to see a endocrinologist next month, but i was wondering if anyone had the problems that I have had or who can direct me to a better web-site. My symptoms are:

Weight gain: I've been on Body for life to two years and follow it stickly, but since I've stopped nursing my youngerst, I've gained 20 pounds. There has been no change to my excercise pattern, which is running 6miles three times a week. also weight training..I rotated what I'm doing. I work out 6 days a week.

There has also been no change to my diet. I'm extremely tired, and eventhough I stopped nursing almost 9 months ago, I still have plenty of milk. I've started growing hair on my chest. (mild)
Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Coldness in my hands and feet a lot of the time...(I've already had a thyroid test, which came back fine...)

    Thanaks,
    Rosie

***DISCLAIMER: I am not a medical professional*** :)

Has your GP tested your androgen levels?

The tiredness, weight gain and excess hair could *possibly* indicate Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, though it would be unusual for this to become evident after giving birth. Then again you may just be a bit run down and there may be no underlying cause for the hair growth.

If you are really worried I'd advise having another chat with your GP-and perhaps request another blood test.

There are a couple of things it maybe so make sure ur doc pursues this relentlessly until it is sorted.

sorry to hear you having such a rough time of it, I know it truely sucks when your bosy does crap like this leaving you feeling like you have sod all control.

but once the docs have figured out what is screwing up I'm sure you will be back to your old shape.

The only test that has been done is for the thyroid. It will be good to get into the Endocrinologist
