joy buttons - joystick buttons (i hope?)

m_pitch is normally (-)0.022 the minus is there in case you have invert mouse on

mouselook should be on

strafe ???

cl_forwardspeed - if you change it, you will go faster in singe player games and if you are the server but on multiplayer its the sv_forwardspeed that decides your speed

ok i have a question. in work as ya know i set up a wee quake lan.
now the monitors arent up to much (cheapo ibm) and its impossible to see anything even with brightness up full. is there any little tweaks to brighten up the game. the monitor is already at full and the g/c is **** and doesnt have that option. i know q2 has all sorts of tweaks for this sort of thing. so any help would be great

u tried gamma in quake
if not look for IDGamma its a program that brightens up quake/quake2! dead handy..

try gamma .5 in console if u havent
then go look for aformentioned proggy

wwman, try typing "gamma 0" at console..
if you still dont see anything, theres something wrong with your monitor..
gamma 0 = the whole screen should go white
personally, i use gamma 0.3

i totaly agree +mlook should be on its mutch easer to aim that way . another question i have some screen shots taken but when i took them they were seeable now that i look at them again there reely dark how come ?

win95 doesn't like pcx very much...it's default viewer shows them in black n white, usually. Get paint shop pro, and that'll solve ure problem

you have to bind a key, and keep it pressed..

ye sam, turnin ure monitor on is cheatin.
We should all start playin Quake with the speakers off, pullin hand stands, while dancin a jig and singin the macarena backwards. now thats how quake was intended to be played......thats how i play anyways
