Ø You had a crush on one of the New Kids on the Block members.
Ø You wanted to be on Jim'll Fix It
Ø You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before he had plastic surgery.
Ø You wore a banana clip or one of those slap-on wrist bands at some point...or heaven forbid one of those T-shirt rings on one side during your youth.
Ø You wore multiple pairs of socks in the middle of the summer just so you could be "hip."
Ø You had slouch socks and puff painted your own shirt at least once.
Ø You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, Wax off."
Ø You were upset when She-ra, Princess of Power, and He-Man got cancelled.
Ø You can remember watching Full House and Saved by the Bell for endless hours, back when they were new episodes.
Ø You have seen at least 10 episodes of Fraggle Rock.
Ø You hold a special place in your heart for "Back to the Future."
Ø You know where to go if you "wanna go where everybody knows your name."
Ø You wanted to be a Goonie. ("Goonies never say die.")
Ø You remember Madonna in her cone stage.
Ø You knew "The Artist" when he was humbly called "Prince."
Ø You even wore flourescent-neon clothing... (if you can call it clothing!)
Ø You could breakdance, or wished you could.
Ø You remember when ATARI was a state of the art video game system.
Ø You remember M.C. Hammer.
Ø You can still sing the rap to "Fresh
Ø Prince of Bel Air....

Ø You owned a pair of L.A. Gear, Keds, or Converse tennis shoes.
Ø You carried your lunch to school in a Gremlins or an ET lunchbox.
Ø You have ever pondered why Smurfette was the ONLY female smurf.
Ø My Little Pony, Gummi Bears and Transformers are familiar to you.

Ø You ever had a Swatch Watch.
Ø You actually spent countless hours trying to perfect the "Care Bear stare."
Ø You had Wonder Woman or Superman PJ’s.
Ø You believed that "By the power of Greyskull, you HAD the power!"
Ø You thought that Transformers were more than meets the eye.
Ø You spent hours building and re-building Lego cities.
Ø Big wheels and BMX's were the way to go.
Ø With your pink (or blue) portable tape player, you sang back up to Kylie and Jason!
Ø "Party like it's 1999" seemed SO far away!!
Ø You wore acid washed jeans
Ø Sported at least one tye dyed shirt
Ø Jean cutoffs, or cut sweatshirts seemed -really- cool
Ø Scooters were in
Ø If you ever owned Polly Pocket or Mirco Machines
Ø If you ever made Ken fall in love with Barbie

Some other 80's child memories of note have to be:

- fighting over who got to be BA Baracus when pretending to be "The A-Team" with your friends.

- wishing your father owned a black, talking, self-driving, flashing-red-light-on-the-front Trans-Am!

- knowing where the phrase, "knock, knock, open wide, see what's on the other side," comes from!

- almost killing yourself trying to jump over several of your friends, their cats and a couple of stray dogs you rounded up with your BMX.

- you can remember when every single singer and music artist constantly went around saying the phrase, "I want my MTV!"

- speaking of which, you thought the video for Dire Straits' "Money For Nothing" was the coolest video ever, ever made and nothing would ever come along to beat it!

- Sunday afternoons meant "DE DE DEEEEE..... Music Television USA..... DA DA DAAAAA..... Vincent Hanley!" (didn't he die of AIDS or something?)

So many more that I just can't remember now. Ah, memories!
