24"x3" tyre

    I recently bought a new unicycle with a very,very fat tyre - 24"x3".
Unfortunately, the tube provided was only specced for 2.5" to 2.7" thickness, and the first time I inflated it, it blew out after 200 yards.
    I have two questions:
    1) Is it fair to say that the wrong tube was supplied, or is it standard enough to have a slightly different spec tube than the tyre. (This is important with regard to getting a replacement for free)
    2) Can anyone recommend a supplier in Ireland that might stock such an unusual sized tyre tube.
