    hey
just got my netsource adsl service activated today , the modem (sagem f@ast 800) is ready to go and detecting the line as operational , all the details n all that crap are in place.
When i go to dial it just comes up verifying user name and password for a few seconds then it says it cant connect to the remote server.

Anyone know whats up with this ??

A few possibilities that spring immediately to mind:
    1. Netsource don't realise you're connected to ADSL line already or
    2. You're not putting in name@isp fully into login or
    3. Details not entered in Netsource's database.

By the way, there are alternative, possibly newer, drivers for your modem on the Sagem website. I managed to key-press or click my way into revealing all softs of wonderfully useless statistics about my DSL line (may have been a CTL+ATL+a, but can't reproduce it!). But I wouldn't go there until the novelty of sucking down the internet has worn off!

It may be a similar problem to the Foxrock Exchange - see below for an e-mail I recieved this morning...
I kinda have good news, apparently there's a fault on the Foxrock
exchange which is causing problems for all the DSL users on that
exchange. This is good news for us as we now know what the problem is,
and as it affects all the customers on that exchange, it should be
fixed pretty quickly - or as quickly as they can anyway! :)
I'm afraid I couldn't get a date from Eircom, but hopefully you should
be back up and running by the weekend.

If it's the same screen as me, ctrl+shift and click on the logo.

Ring Netsource and double check that you are ready to go ... and as was mentioned, make sure that you are using PPPoE

Netsource doesn't apperar to work with a number of modems.

    I have a D-Link 200 USb which works perfectly.
    I have a USR9003 which will not.
There are a few other brands that have problems too.
This doesn't happen on eircom or iol- so it's not the exchange.
