most skins are a waste of time unless u want specific ones for a reason

Quake 1 isnt like Quake 2 as far as skins are concerned, there is one skin, base.pcx and thats in ure pak file , any other skins are skins which people have made themselves, you will download them off the server when you join a game provided that you have noskins 0 or noskins 1 on, if you dont want to download them then put noskins 2 in ure cfg.
