Local authority will recycle paper/cardboard/glass etc etc and plastic with the "1" and "2" triangle symbol..

I have an assload of plastic with "3" and "4" also some with "5" and "6" symbols, but they say that i might as well burn these..

I absolutely hate putting stuff in for landfill, its a shame.

Is there anyone that can enlight me???

I would love to recycle. but the neasest place that takes paper is 50 miles away!! (glass and drink cans only is 3 miles)
Last week I had to pay €320 for the council to take my rubbish. There are several sizes of bin available
but when i tried to get a small one they said it was only for the elderly.
In my last house you went to the shop and purchased a tag when you wanted to put out the bin so i made sure
it was full and i had recycled all i could. Now everything goes into it. I am even considering putting glass back in.
