Had a problem on Friday, dialled up and got connected at 33,000bps, redialled got the same, redialled again and got on at the usual 50,666bps.
Was fine any other time over the weekend when I dialled up.

I connect to UTVipXL. In the past 2 weeks, my connection speed has dropped from around 42.6k to 26.4-28.8k. I've failed to get it back up. More often than not, the connection dies away after a while - doesn't disconnect, but no data is received.

I've tried their "Pay As You Go" number and get the same. Tried E-Live, a local ISP (Limerick) and get 44k. Just tried IOL-Free and got 26.4k.

Not sure where to turn next........ Its driving me around the bend. Its totally unsuitable speeds for any sort of decent surfing.

Had Eircom here to look at the line - they fixed a problem but said that they could not guarantee good internet speeds, only that the line was suitable for voice transmission.

    ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH......................

**** same here 33,600 with anytime, only after changing with me. Last 3 weeks were normal at 50,666.

I'm getting 40.0 - 45.0, but it feels much slower most of the time. When I connect I get about 2 or 3 minutes with nothing happening and then it seems to slow down every few minutes.
