    Female bassist wanted for Dublin based band. Influences include pearl jam, anathema, jeff buckley, katatonia, alice in chains, tool etc.
    Recording/studio experience not essential. Must be available to rehearse on sundays, serious commitment required. Recording for a 5-track e.p. is planned for mid-september. :)

    Why must they be female? I'm not trying to attack ya here but if a talented male bassist came along, would you honestly turn them down?

    We got this on other forums too, I wouldn't turn down any decent bassist male/female, but the fact is we've searching for about two months and got hardly any responses! So, talking between ourselves, we thought a female bassist would be a welcome addition to the band and maybe if we refined our search and directed an ad/thread specifically at women we would get a better response. so far more responses, the problem being they're all from men asking "why only female?" and still none from anyone who actually plays the bass, m/f
    the mysteries of life........
