    Hey all,

I am slightly confused by the whole VHI v BUPA thing!

I need Health Insurance but I am not sure which to go for.

I know VHI are raising their costs again and BUPA seem to be a lot cheaper.

Does anyone have any advice? I basically want a package similar to VHI's Plan B Options..........

I cant say whats better and no one can unless you have been on both.

Myself im VHI but im not voting for them for above reason..

I will say this.. I have NEVER had a problem with them paying up but my parents have had serious problems with Bupa paying for my sister.

Work pays for mine though.. im plan B + options.

I'm not on either cos I can't afford to be... unless I'm on my parents policy, they've got VHI I think. Luckily nobody in my immediate family has needed hospital treatment so I don't know if they are any good or not.

When i worked last summer i was on BUPA so id reccomend that. But strangley enough when i was not working during the year i had to go for hospital tests under the public health system and i thought the service was just as good. Is it just me or is there an element of snobbery with Private health insurance jus like there is with private schools in this country:rolleyes:
