just my final post to let you all know that i'm leaving quake becuase of the total ego trip and politics that have in my view ruined what was just a bunch of peolpe who had fun playing quake into such a serious enviroment (eg nuking,k-lineing, public abbuse on webboard etc).

Before I leave you all I just want to share one of my fondest memories of playing quake (back at the start before all this serious stuff set in). I rember getting the dart to tara street where I walked up to the main gate where i waited for 20mins looking at other people sitting on the other fence. I was there for my first lan quake game. I eventually walked over to the large(ish) group of people and found that it was the quake people i was to meet. It was Dupre,Reaper,Joe,Ace Ventura,Renton,Mindphuck and Kaile. We proceded to sneak into hamlab and play quake all day. The day was great fun with people sharing stories and putting names to nicks. I'm sad to say that those fun filled politic free days of the then small now large irish quake scene are gone. I think politics has taken over the irish quake community to much and all the fun has been taken out of it. I wounder if I'm the only person who feels this way.

Oh one more thing before I leave just a few thanks to some people

Suds - thanks for all your hard work with me in iol during work experince (i'll be in touch soon)

Koopa - thanks for teaching me and renton quake tricks for a day in the arches labs. And for risking your collage place when we were caught in east end by eamo.

SeP - thanks for being a good friend and provideing comic relief on many occasions.

Cloud - for all the work you did on quake.ie that was taken for granted I noticed it. And for managing to be on of the few people who kept the fun aspect to quake while doing the hard jobs of running servers.

All of Clan Trinity (the original fun loving quakers and still in my view the best clan in Ireland) - thanks for introducing me to the joys of quake on a lan.

    With this I leave you

    Eamonn "Mr_Magoo/ChRoMe" Dunne

"And like that he's gone" - Quote from the usual suspects.

I've been sick with the Flu, and I come back to find Mr Magoo and Daa have left....

Am I still sick? have I woken up in parallel universe, or have I died and gone to heaven?
