Don't know if this is the right forum, but here goes.

I was out cycling for the first time in years last week, and i got oil from the bicycle chain on to my clothes. Does anyone know how to get this off? I only bought my jeans a few weeks ago, and now they are ruined.

From the good old Persil website:D
    Oil and grease

Clothes looking like a fish and chip wrapper? Treat heavy stains with a grease solvent*, then wash the clothes. Or try soaking the stains in a cool washing solution with a biological detergent, then wash at the maximum temperature recommended for the fabric. If the fabric is unsuitable for washing, it may help to spread talc over small marks, brushing it off as it absorbs the grease, and repeating until the marks have gone.

*Grease solvents include white spirit, household soap, and Dabitoff or Beaucare, which are available in chemists and hardware stores. Swarfega (available in hardware shops) is good for heavy oil and grease.
I tend to get oil on work jeans a lot and would agree with the swarfega idea, it works a treat before washing :)

In my younger days I was told that petrol is good for getting out oil stains (petrol will then wash out with any detergent you see)

Man's suggestion might be a little more scientific.

as a topic, this certainly beats 99% of penis threads on the forum.

although, as a personal issue, i would certainly put it in the lower 1% of problems that cause me to lose sleep at night.

im sure theres a hundred and one better forums for this?

Well if his foreskin was painfully tight as well, it would perhaps have more justification being here, but its personal and its an issue and that’s what matters.

Persil recommends that you become a naturist to ease the tension on your nutsack

Then there'd be nothing to clean - why would they say that?

On a serious note, be a man! After a few washes, the oil stain will be reduced to a barely visible stain on the inside of your ankle. Frankly, who cares? The inside of the ankle on all of my pants are like this. I'd feel weird if it wasn't there now tbh.
