    Just splashed out yesterday on a new reel..(sorrry aoife!!)
    It's an abu 6500 ct..At the moment I have it matched up with s shakespeare president 12ft light surfcaster. Really nice kit, drops 100metres or so just with a good thump using a 4oz weight.
    As for the fishing, no luck as regarding bass, just flounder.
    Going out tomorrow from kilmore (hopefully)...
