How to check your usage of IOL's broadband service

I've found something very interesting: :eek:

if you go to http://broadband.iol.ie/cgi-bin/sec/dsl and enter your IOL broadband username and password (without the @iolbb bit), you can check your usage statistics.

I only stumbled on this by accident as I noticed a link to a usage tool for IOL Anytime at http://anytime.iol.ie/usage and tryed http://broadband.iol.ie/usage just for the hell of it...

I am unsure

if IOL intended for this page to be available or even if it is reporting correct figures but it is probably a hook into what IOL are using to monitor it's 5gb download cap.

Excellent !! I just clicked through,logged in, and it gave me both DL and UL figures, time spent online and times logged on (dunno why they need that though..)

PS - Look at the view history thing. The page says here are YOUR statistics. So its aimed at the user.

thats their d/l monitor anyone with Broadband can look at it as long as you have your password/username handy

I've only used 2.33GB and it's the 30th Aug. I was trying to be carefull for God's sake . . . Where is Limewire? . . Quick . . Where is it ??

That's going to cost at least €20, if they charge...

If your're going to go over like that, you should get uncapped.
