Due to Legal reasons Playboy magazine has had several pages altered in editions on sale in Ireland.
Without looking can anyone tell me what the reason was?.:).

    Yup thats it.
    No Tabacco adverts allowed.
strange how you couldnt sell playboy 20 years ago due to its content..but the adverts were ok.
And now the content is ok but the Adverts aint.

There are a lot of Uk womens magazines with blank spaces in them where abortion adverts usually appear. Took me a while to realise what the big gaps were, I thought their editor was just a bit crap.

I never liked playboy to be honest. Too many ads and articles and not enough nekkid women. Give me bang bus any day.

Bang Bus ??? I've a couple of ladies I'd like to introduce those Boys to *evil grin* . I guarantee they'd either be a bit more respectful to women or they'd swear off of them totally !!

;) Penthouse is better than Playboy

Staged or not , it's not worth the effort it would take to look them up , if your looking for things of that nature then I would suggest the "MILF Hunter" .

    No idea. Libel maybe?

Many American and other foreign magazines still carry tobacco advertising and are limited to something like 1,000 copies (in Ireland) per issue, not including subsctiption copies.

There were a few pages pulled from a 1996 issue. May or June, can't remember but it was the third issue here. Jenny McCarthy on the cover. Something to do with the OJ Simpson case. Probably potential libel then.

Ten points for me because I didn't look.

No idea about anything since - haven't read anything about any pages being omitted on either side of the Atlantic.

FHM suffers from censors in Saudi and Qatar using black markers to paint over the naughty bits on every single copy by hand. <Place joke here about pointy pencils and sore wrists>.

Empire has had the same problem in the odd issue in the same countries where plunging necklines are featured (probably when J Lo wore that green dress to the Golden Globes)

Maybe it was in the film review of "Veronica Guerin". Do you know what section was edited?
