Remember a while back there was a posting by Darth Homer that they were looking for extras? Anyway i went along. I got a call and im in. Im having my Costume fitting tomorrow

I will be a Roman Soldier!!! I think i will be shooting for about a week i was told. Im pretty excited.. Hope i get to fight with a sword :ninja: .. and ill probably end up a half dead corpse on the ground moaning

Anyway im curious.. did any other boards members audition or get accepted? Will there be any fellow boards members in my Roman swuad? Or maybe even enemies...

Yup, Reserve Defence Forces they are getting 700 euro a week for 6 days a week and 10 hours a day. Acomidation and food are included. Most of them are getting over 2 months work as well.

Cool anyway €700 a week... actually i think i make something similar.. not sure im positive i saw something around €150 a day or so... im not doing it for the money anyway.. it should be good fun.

75 quid per day for 10 hours work, over time of 66 for more than 10 hours.
You could earn up to 150 a day.

this is the frist war film filmed in ireland where they arn't using the nca. They were looking for too much money(600 a week). So they mixed a bunch of reanactors(ppl who do it professionaly) with ordinary ppl. 400+. Well that what their doing with the saxons, of which i am inculded. Im filming on monday, sword fighting and that, some where in wicklow and yes we only get 75 a day.

That's pretty much where I stand at the moment too.

They said they'd get backt o me with times n'stuff, and haven't.

Several other lads I know are also in similar positions.

To be honest, I was supposed to be doing sound work on it. Didn't make it back from England on time... I'm working next week on Pierce Brosnans "Laws of Attraction", thursday in Croke Park and Friday in the four courts. Should be interesting. Least I'm advancing my career;)

Yes they are, read my post abouve about the RDF (FCA) I have the application form and they are getting €700 a week so i dont know there u got you info....

They might be using them for the romans. Im one of the saxons thats where im getting the information. Should find out monday as were doing some fight scenes with them. If u want it cleared up ?

I got a phone call a while back but I turned it down. For two reasons, I shaved my head completely and now resemble a neo nazi and I’ve scored a job on a building site at €13.75 an hour, and with overtime I come out with a nice wage packet. Pretty sweet for a summer job, eh? Except I usually have to work ten or more hour days, six days a week and get out of bed at 5.30am:(.

A lot of people with short hair are getting blonde wigs and had to have their eye brows bleched. So there now a load of people walking around with white eye brows.

I got my hair cut short the day of the costume fitting.. Did not worry them they just gave me a curly brown hair wig.. its only to have some hair under the helmet.. thats all. Also i was clean shaven so im having to grow some stubble
