as for akira the one you refer to is tetsuo, his friend is kaneda, akira only appears in the film very briefly, and its his ghost or something. shame on you you have my akira dvd and everything

Batman CAN beat anyone/thing. He's always prepared!
From the list above thoug, I'd have to pick Daredevil. Frank Miller wrote many things of beauty in the 80s, especially Born Again for ole hornhead and the Dark Knight!

batman sux his enemys are just really dumb and leave to slowly die and you would think they would learn if you had ever see the 70s show you would see he his always prepared with the same crap like bat earpugs you would never see anyone else look like a complete idiot like him and also all the movies sux and so does batman of the future. vote for bluntman and kronic

Ah... I see the problem here..

Sorry my good sir, but this thread is for COMICS not CARTOONS. CARTOONS are things you see on in the morning or on childrens channels (if you have digital damn you!).... oh and anime and small comics that appear in papers ("the funnies" if you will) are also CARTOONS.

But alas! This isn't a forum on cartoons. Nor movies. This is a forum about COMICS.

Yeah... I'm just angry at the Batman comment...

    :ninja:

    anime ... are also CARTOONS.

Manga is Japanese comics, Anime is Cartoons with Manga style animation, Interesting trivia from the Wulf!!!

Anyway, My Fav comic book character is "The Hood," one of the new aditions to the Marvel universe, or maybe Gambit(He's teh sex)

Of teh list above, I gotta vote for the Hulk

Batman sux, his power is to be really rich so he can buy stuff to beat up villians. Wow....

    I think you mean
the bososuku biker Kaneda from Akira
    and
the Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell

The Thing from Fantastic 4 and Storm from Xmen are cool heros!

such as Supa meaning Supermarket, Sneeka meaning running-shoes, or depato meaning department store

Anime just means Animation, like Disney Animation, or it could mean Computer animation or Japanese manga style animation

People who say don't call it manga, or don't call it Anime are just being weird, don't listen to them,
I don't care what you call it, anime or manga, as long as it's called Japanese

Hmmmmmm looks like I just pushed Dredd into the lead

    Dredd is teh Judge

Rorschach in Watchmen and Spider Jerusalem in Transmetropolitan are very cool heroes IMO, even though they're more complex than traditional heroes in comics where everyone is black/white, good/evil.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,446 ✭✭✭Havelock

Out of teh available options: Dread got my vote, though on a technicality he shouldn't be there. He ahs no super human abilities.

If I could have voted for anyone, it would have been Spider Jerusalem. One of the best characters in comics ever, great story, drawing, style. But what else would one expect with an Ellis project.

    On Superheros, Gambit or Cable.

I'd be a Dredd fan here also.

So many classic quotes, so many good storylines ...

That reminds me ... must get "The Pit" in trade paperback ...

Batman is such a hunk, :P

Slaine is the boy, also think Lobo pretty cool also.

    Batman of course.

I'd have to go with spiderman, i mean... the guy's clearly a schizophrenic, he's a pure nerd and somehow... he manages to beat those big fat off monsters/technologically enhanced uber killers

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 326 ✭✭Cable

i agreee with Kold.... i mean any one in his position would have either a) been squished by the bug he's become or b) suffered a massive nervous break down plagued by nightmares of relentless attacks from some pack of guys wearing green skie masks :ninja:
