Just watching News 24 at the mo, watching it with the settings as 4:3 and Letterbox mode on, and the screen is stretched vertically. All other widescreen channels, including other BBC FTA channels are switching fine.

Is this the same with anyone else?

Ah, glad I'm not the only one to notice it!

I have it on EPG and have my box set to 16:9 and whilst widescreen transmissions change my TV to "Auto:Full" BBC News 24 changes it to "Auto:Panoramic" (I have my TV set to blow out 4:3 to fill screen) and still looks out of proportion!

Looks the same (stretched) with letterbox on or off on a 4:3 set.
